Enid Boosey

Enid Boosey was born on 20th August 1895 in Bromley and was 19 years old when war broke out.

Before the war

In the 1911 census Enid was listed as being at school in Eastbourne. Her parents lived at The Cedars, Bromley Common.

During the First World War

During the First World War, Enid was a member of Kent 50 VAD (Bromley Common) and nursed at Oakley hospital between September 1914 and December 1918. Her older sister Madge was Commandant of Kent 50 VAD (Bromley Common).


Enid married Dr Clement Wheeler Bennett in Bromley in 1919. They had two sons and a daughter.


Enid died aged 79 in 1974.
